Grandma’s Cucumbers


There are no words to describe how delicious these cucumbers are!  They are marinated in a mixture of water, apple cider vinegar, and sugar.  My family makes a huge batch every week and we have never gotten tired of them.  

I guarantee you will LOVE them.





  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cukes, peeled, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 T oil
  • Celery seed



In a large bowl, place prepared cukes in ice water with a little salt for 1-2 hours to make crispy.

In a pot, cook water and sugar until clear, stirring constantly.

 Let cool.  Add  vinegar, oil, and lots of celery seed.
Drain cucumbers, pat dry, and mix them with the vinegar mixture.
 Chill overnight.
